What did TEN achieve for equestrians in 2014?
We strengthened our position as a key liaison point for the New Plymouth District Council.
This year we placed a strong focus on improving the Lake Mangamahoe Bridle trails.
Several fundraising initiatives allowed us to grade the trails, install a water tank and build a covered yard at this fabulous facility.
A new shared trail is underway which will allow us access across a local farm to link to hydro road, providing a flatter alternative ride for when the hill trails are too slippery.
We tackled the issue of vandalism and 4wd vehicles entering the trails and with the proactive help of the council most of the offenders have stopped abusing the trails.
Behind the scenes we incorporated to become a stronger body in the community and we launched a facebook page to help to keep people up to date with events in the community and equestrian related issues.
